At Terakoya NINJA's Japanese sweets making experience, you can learn how to make nerikiri, which is the main sweet of traditional tea ceremonies. The tea ceremony has a history of hundreds of years, originating from samurai culture and was once considered the ultimate form of entertainment. Our experienced host will explain and guide you about the special Japanese sweets used in tea ceremonies while you sample matcha tea.In this popular Japanese sweets making experience, you can enjoy the main sweets and matcha green tea served by the kimono-clad host. The course is held in a 24-tatami-mat authentic tatami room and lasts about 60 minutes. We can provide guides in English and Japanese.
